Opprtunity
Develop a store-first Olympics plan implementing “wow” in-store creative to create a program that (a) connects with the midwestern shopper, (b) excites Meijer as a retail partner, and (c) lends itself to a total store retailer marketing program while driving household penetration and creating basket building opportunities.
Solution
Engage an Olympics Theme that can be used across all communication touch points to inspire the shopper by emotionally connecting the “drive to be the best” with P&G products. Make consumers feel like they can be the best version of themselves, as the Olympians of their homes, each day by choosing the best products “for me, allows me to be my best”.
Results
Regrettably, the 2020 Olympics were eventually postponed due to Covid, causing a halt to our project. We took great pride in the work we produced until the project was placed on hold. It's important to note that the client was very excited and loved the work as well, but external circumstances were beyond their control.
